Review standards

How we decide whether a Bot can be listed. Free Bots and Pro Bots have different standards.

Free BotsPublic sources and community sharing

Mostly automatic checks with human spot checks. Only the name, description and source link are shown.

  • The repository or share page is public and says what the Bot is for.
  • From open-source projects with a clear license; with no license, we show only the link and do not copy content.
  • State credit and source clearly: original author, original project, description of changes.
  • Updated within the last 12 months; Bots left unmaintained for a long time don't get featured.
  • No malicious behavior, and no hard-coded keys or accounts.
  • Nothing illegal, fraudulent, adult, or that violates others' privacy.
  • Names and icons don't imitate official brands.
Pro BotDeveloper submission

Automatic checks plus human review, with a reviewer actually trying it. Only then can it join the revenue share.

  • Original, or you can prove you have the right to distribute it.
  • Purpose, scope and limits are clearly stated.
  • At least 3 example prompts, tested and working for the reviewer.
  • It must be clear what actions it takes on the user's behalf.
  • Does not trick users into revealing privacy or lead them to unknown links.
  • Does not get around Grok's usage rules.
  • The author commits to handling feedback and reports promptly and keeping the Bot updated.
